Nabil Fahim.

Over a decade across airlines and marketplaces has taken me from negotiating hotel contracts to growing travel businesses. These days I’m at Booking.com, working on how changes in demand can translate into better commercial decisions.

Career

Not a straight line, but it makes sense in hindsight.

2022 - present

Booking.com

Business Growth, Amsterdam

At Booking.com, I work on where growth comes from: understanding shifts in demand, identifying opportunities for accommodation partners, and helping teams decide where to focus.

These days, that includes applied AI. The interesting part is turning a messy commercial problem into something people can actually use - working across marketing, product and engineering to get there.

Left aviation for marketplaces

2021 - 2022

Qatar Airways

Digital Portfolio Manager, Holidays, Doha

I owned the holidays marketplace’s P&L. We grew revenue 330% by connecting hotel supply with a platform that could package and price it in real time.

Same industry, bigger airline

2016 - 2021

flydubai

E-Commerce & Digital Marketing, Holidays, Dubai

Founding member of the holidays division. Helped choose the technology, launch the platform and build the Expedia partnership. Then spent five years turning a new business into a real one.

Emirates Holidays

Non-Air Product Development, Dubai

Where it started. Negotiating hotel contracts, securing availability across 33 markets, and learning how travel supply chains work from the inside.

Off duty

Usually a bass line, a race weekend, or one more side project.

On bass
Grunge, punk and rock with a band. Vulfpeck and funk on my own. Still trying to nail the Joe Dart tone.

A McLaren fan for 20 years. One race a year - 14 and counting.

This site, a Home Assistant setup that's gone too far, a home server, and whatever else I can vibe-code into existence.
